Gap Bandana Fringe Cardigan: 4 Ways to Style It
Every once in a while, a piece starts popping up everywhere on my Pinterest page and I immediately understand why.
This fall it’s been the bandana print cardigan.
I’m drawn to the slightly Western, vintage-inspired look and thought it would be such an easy way to add some personality (print & texture!) to simple fall outfits. Before buying the Gap version though, I actually ordered a similar bandana print sweater from Amazon. It is at a lower price point, but….
It went back almost immediately. The Amazon version looked cute online, but in person felt very itchy to me. The construction felt inexpensive and I knew it just wouldn’t be that cozy piece I pulled for over and over again.
Then I tried the Gap Bandana Print Fringe Cardigan, and it was exactly what I was hoping the other would be.

The biggest difference for me was simply how much nicer the Gap cardigan felt. I knew spending a little more made sense here.
It has the oversized, slightly dramatic shape that makes it SO cozy and fun. It feels well done, the oversized fit looks substantial and intentional. The sleeves look cute rolled up as well.
Most importantly: I actually want to wear it a lot.
This sounds obvious, but I’m trying to become much more thoughtful about what comes into my closet. I’d rather spend a bit more on a more well constructed piece that I’ll in love and style several different ways.
This sweater passed that test for me.
Is The Gap Bandana Cardigan Worth It?
For me? Yes. Especially after trying the less expensive Amazon version first.
I love that it can be a statement piece in an otherwise very simple outfit.
The versatility of something I can wear for errands, school pick up, pilates, a casual weekend is a big part of why I think it’s worth spending the money on this one.
